About Us

Nurture Fostering started its journey into Fostering in 2017 lead by a husband-and-wife team. Their joint aim and vision was not to become a large fostering agency, but an agency where our whole team knows all of our foster carers, the children in placement and vice versa thus offering a high level of support to all.

Following on from our registration process with Ofsted and as with any new start-up, we began without having any foster carers registered with the agency but have steadily built our registered foster carer base to over fifty fostering households, most of whom have come to us via recommendation.

From the outset the Directors had a very clear vision regarding the kind of independent fostering agency they wanted to develop and were passionate about supporting the people who would make a difference to the most vulnerable children in society. The very people who would be there to support the young people in placement 24 hours a day, seven days a week taking the good days with the bad, our foster carers.

Our Aims are very clear:

  • To support, enable and encourage our foster carers to provide the best care possible.
  • To provide our foster carers with a competent supervising social worker who will support them in their role.
  • Ensuring our foster carers know the team at Nurture Fostering all of whom are there to encourage, develop and nurture them.
  • Provide 24-hour support and guidance with any queries or provide assistance even in the middle of the night. We don’t want our foster carers to feel as if they are on their own no matter what time of day.
  • Make a lasting impact and impression on the children and young persons we support by providing them with the opportunities in life to enable them to reach their full potential and best outcomes.
  • Be the very best we can be and strive for excellence in all that we do.

We seek and receive ongoing feedback to enable us to re-evaluate our service to our foster carers and ensure it meets their expectations where possible.

Managers and Directors are always available to help and support our foster carers and children in our care working with our Social Work, Placement and Business Support Teams to ensure that our vision is shared, implemented and embraced by everyone who is a part of Nurture Fostering.
